Not when the question revolves around just the three Core rulebooks, no.

But I'm not adverse to an asaatthi in the right campaign, though I think that ECL could be dropped by just one (and give it to the ratmen...yeesh).

whoot. i'd like to play a half-celestial of some sort, or a metallic dragon (gold or silver come to mind, mebbe even a mercury dragon.).
it would be hard to roleplay properly, but it would be fun to try.

I would take opportunity to play a non-standard race for every character I played in that campaign.

I would play a non-standard race at least once in that campaign.

I might play a non-standard race at some time in that campaign.

I probably would stick to the standard races in that campaign.

I definitely would play only the standard races in that campaign.

I would not only play only a standard race in that campaign, but I'd be miffed if other Players play

I would not even want to play in such a campaign.
