Direct from Mike Mearls. It's gone.

Errrr ... damage on a *hit* is gone?

That's either a typo or April 1 is running about 5 weeks early.

Ooops. Looks like Mearls was having a joke and I failed to notice it. Don't I feel silly.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

And if it's not, what's wrong with them?

I think we need a poll for whether other forums need more threads about DoaM!

The DoaM discussion comes up every so often(read: The same 2 or 3 people trying to force it into almost every topic) on WotC's playtest forums and so far that's only about 3 or 4(well, 2-3, then one guy with about 7 different alts that rotate during bans) who are actually against it rather than neutral.

The vast majority of people(myself included) are neutral on Damage on a Miss. I personally argue in favor of it though because I prefer more options over less options.
