Yes, wood Armor is in the Dungeon Master Guide on 143p. It is a MINOR PROPERTY "Strange Material. The item was created from a material that is bizarre given its purpose. Its durability is unaffected."

I could see a druid in "studded leather" made of flexible, living wood. Or scale mail made of small ironwood plates.
