I'll take your word for it, but as a publisher with one print product I didn't think there was any relation to the rest of the industry. I really have no metrics to go by.

Is it just me, or is this thread like all over the place?

No, this thread really is all over the place. And I can't believe you haven't sold out of Denizens yet. That truly is one of the best monster books I have ever seen. I may have to pick up some for my group before they're gone forever.

We have plenty left so there really isn't a rush. :\ Drop me an email. Weren't you supposed to start doing freelance for us in November?

I don't think I've made any purchase decisions based on author interactions or my perception of them. My purchases are driven by content and my interests in that content, not rewarding or punishing people.

Here's a few questions I've been meaning to ask:

If you come across a disappointing product, would you go out of your way to question the author of said product why they make such it so disappointing? Do you go out of your way to relay your criticism to the author personally? Do you dare to question the author's competency in his skill?

I've sent authors and publishers errata and questions about content and pointed out mechanical errors or flavor contradictions on books they wrote. Sometimes these become official errata or lead to revisions, sometimes there have been responses that did not really address the issue raised, And sometimes no real response, but I have never said "why was this so disappointing?" That's just an attack phrased as a question.

What's the schedule on the Digital Denizens? I'm definitely buying if this comes to pdf. I know the CR 1 and CR 2 are out, but I'd rather buy one big product that a bunch of smaller ones? :)

First off, this is not an attempt to get you to change your mind, or to invalidate your opinion. You have your policy, and that's cool with me.

That said: Assuming that your policy of not purchasing Adamant Entertainment product is because of *my* behavior, how does that effect those products from us that are not written by me, or products from other publishers that I have written?

I guess my point here is that the industry is too small and incestuous for that sort of policy to make much sense beyond being arbitrarily applied. Unless you're actually willing to check the credits page of everything you buy, before you buy it, I just don't see it working.

Speaking for myself, I won't buy anything that has your name on it. Doesn't mean that I don't have some things that you collaborated on because I'm not anal enough to check the credits (maybe I should start), but anything with your name on the cover gets dropped back on the shelf ASAP.
