I only read half of the OP and haven't read any of the replies, but I would like to say that 4E would be much much better if it incorporated all of my house rules, and was also more like 1E. All artwork should be done by some guy who did a small illustration in one of the books from 1978.

How are you defining "Japan" here? Clearly we'll never agree on what constitutes "Japan" if that's what you think. Don't use a term if you don't truly understand what it means.

I hereby declare that all important comments on this subject have already been made, and that this thread is dead. Both sides have made their point, no one is going to change their mind, and there is no purpose to continuing. Anybody who continues to post in this thread is beating a dead horse, and I shall endeavor to respond to each one of them individually to tell them so.

Also, my opinion on this subject is right and yours is not.
