In the early 1980's I read a very funny book. A wolf was bitten by a werewolf and became a very confused human when the moon was full. It had a happy ending. He even got the girl. I know a dozen people who would love to read it if I could remember the author or the title.

I'll confirm Mark's guess. I read Howling Mad several years ago, and it was great (as are many - but not all - of Peter David's novels).
