Does anyone still play 3.0e?

It seems that Wizards has been very sucessful with 3.5e. From what I've seen the old 3e is all but dead, superseded by 3.5e. I know people who have sold their entire 3e collection (worth hundreds of dollars) after 3.5e was released. Of course there are a few enbittered players who refuse to switch out of spite for WotC. Then there are some who use a hybrid system. However, it seems like the vast majority of players have made the switch. Am I just a grumpy, enbittered 3.0e fanboy for refusing to make the switch? Does anyone still play 3.0e as written?

(Rant off)

I play 3.0 PbP still on a german message board, but the german 3.5 isn't available yet and some anglophobe ;) players do not have the english rules.

In my regular group we switched to 3.5 immediately.

We play 3.5, but the other day I talked to a gamer whose group had switched to 3.5 but then switched back to 3.0. He said they "didn't like it." (Where's  when you need him?) He wasn't very specific about what turned them off about 3.5, either.

I know a few people that play mostly 3.0 with some of the better 3.5 improvements thrown in (i.e. the ranger), but not many.

I myself love 3.5, but I have held on to all of my 3.0 books, the differences are so slight in most cases that adaptation can be done quickly and easily, even on the fly during a game. 3.5 is not really a 'new version', it's more like the final polish on 3.0.

Reports of the death of 3.0 are greatly exaggerated. :)

Our group still plays it, only a few of us own the 3.5 books, and I COULD play 3.5, using my SRD, but choose not to. I have no qualms against it, but we just don't have a serious incentive yet to shift.

SHould a new edition come out, 4E in the future for instance, I'll probably shift.

3.0 still...the major issues that were fixed in 3.5 never really affected our game...1st to 13th level usually.

Still playing 3E. We had mostly corrected the things we didn't like by the time 3.5 came around and didn't have a compelling reason to switch. We are playing Arcana Unearthed at the moment, which is more 3E anyway.

But if you're thinking about making a switch to 3.5, go for it, just make sure you sell all those old 3E books for cheap!

I still play 3.0. I didn't buy 3.5 for ethical reasons.

I'm sure you're all familiar with Monte's rant:
http://www.montecook.com/arch_review26.html

1E lasted 15 years
2E lasted 11 years
3E lasted 3 years

I'm not going to buy a new edition after such a short time. I mean, some people may have only played 2 adventures before the update came.

I have no problems with buying 3.5 source material, though. It's all compatible.
