Does Dragon magazine suck now?

Dragon has always hads its ups and downs.

I think it is a little early to dismiss it as having fallen into suckitude.

Must we have this same discussion every month? Perhaps you are the one that is changing and not the magazine?

I think I belong in "Does not suck" category.

Yeah I don't like every issue (I don't buy every issue either), but there are good stuff in most issues. Same way it was before Paizo took over. I do like it now more than in the last days of 2e (before the previews for 3e stuff started appearing)...

I wish Dragon magazine would back away from publishing so many prestige classes. I'd also like to see fewer feats.

Actually, there haven't been any prestige classes in the last few issues.

I may be the only one here who wants Dragon to _continue_ publishing prestige classes. So what if 90% of them are crappy? That's just Sturgeon's Law at work. As long as there's the 10% I or my players can use, that's good enough for me.

I like Dragon magazine, too, but I have to chip in and say that I don't care for the fiction most of the time and the Silicon Sorcery is indeed a vile waste of space.

Almost everything else, I find useful at least once in a while.

I second this opinion. I liked the prestige classes, and wish they had some more good ones like the Eldritch Master or the Rage Mage or the Flame Steward. They weren't always balanced, but they're always fun to look through.

I guess I just subscribed to dragon for the crunchy bits. I figured that for less than the cost of 2 splat books, it was probably worth my money. Lately, the crunchy bits have been uninteresting, and other parts of the magazine are taken up by the fiction, which I never read, or stupid articles like Silicon Sorcerory.
