Does SR stack?

I agree. The drow forsaker just does not make any sense. An innately magical class forsaking magic all together. I don't think so on the grounds that the drow thrive on magic, and its uses. I personally would not allow one of my players to play a drow forsaker.

EDIT: PrCs are the only exception that I can think of, and could very well have been left out of this post.

It only stacks when using poorly-designed PrCs. Especially the drow forsaker, which is an innately magical race taking an innately non-magical PrC.

Don't ALL drow have SR? And don't they have more once they get class levels? I'm not saying the PrC in question isn't poorly designed--I don't honestly know--but it sure isn't for the reason you claim.

It could be argued that an innately magical race would be better able to resist the effects of magic. I mean...it's magic after all.

Point well taken, but why would a drow give up his magical life style that he is accustomed to. Only to garnish a life of magic depravation. I would think the farthest a drow would go is to forsake the ways of his people, and leave everything about them behind. But, the only thing he would keep is his affinity for magic.

Good point. I will jump from the tangent back to the straight and narrow. Sorry Guys!

Oh, I really don't know what it means either. It just sounded good to me at the time.

LOL! :D

Yes, sorry for the thread-rot. Back to the question of SR! I agree that it overlaps, and does not stack except in rare & unique cases. Certainly not in the core rules.

As I have stated before, I agree with you on the overlapping bit, and the not stacking bit. The PrCs I am in denial over. ONly fo rthe next ten to twenty minutes.
