Actually, Silence kinda IS a be-all end-all spell.

A readied silence (to cast when an enemy starts casting his spell) stops 99% of all enemy spellcasting, cold, period, done, finished.

This is obviously a bit batty; a 5th level cohort with a wand of silence stopping every enemy spell except those that are "silent" (metamagic)?

Yeeaahhh... except that a wand of silence has a save DC of 13, so it will never stick.

And, if you cast it on an object/willing creature near the caster, he'll lose that one spell... then move.

Theres a +3 price mod ability that does 1d6 force damage with a chance of dispelling any force effects it hits(such as mage armor) as well.

Its publically available on wizard's site, just search for elven longbow. That taulmaril's main ability(absolutely nothing like the books of course, where it can penetrate thick wooden obstructions with ease and knock targets flying)

Exactly. Think about it.

The lowly lvl 5 cohort has just caused the great lvl 30 wizard BBEG to lose a full-round action.

Psychokinetic Quality (+1 value) In the XPH, page 166

There's also a burst version immediately below it.

This quality does not do force damage. It does ectoplasmic damage that ignores DR.

And note, the main damage of the weapon does not ignore DR, just the D4.

That sounds fairly close to D4 Sonic except that someone could put up Energy Resistance versus Sonic and they would have to do something else against this (like boost AC or use Vigor or some such).

While there are few creatures that are resistent to sonic damage, creatures that are particularly vulnerable to sonic damage are also rare.

A fire weapn can be very useful against cretures with the cold subtype. Regeneration of several creatures is negated by fire damage.

I think in the end, it balances out, at least within the slim borders of a +1 enhancement...

Also of note is that a screaming weapon would be great for sundering attacks (as would acid weapons).
Not really. Sonic and acid still have to get through hardness, and 1d6 isn't going to do much against even non-magic metal weapons (hardness 8) or +1 wooden weapons (hardness 7).

The "sonic and acid attacks do normal damage against objects" means that you don't halve the damage like you do with fire and electricity, or quarter it like with cold.
