Does Windwalk require concentration?

Does changing back and forth from wind to normal with a windwalk spell require 5 rounds of concentration? Or is it just a free action to initiate and then happens automatically "in the background" for 5 rounds, and then poof you are changed?

The spell doesn't say anything about requiring concentration, so I'd say "No". I'd make it take a standard action to start the process of changing to normal or back, but once started it occurs without requiring effort for the next 5 rds until completed. Since the spell doesn't clarify it, I figure it's open to DM interpretation, so that's how I'd do it.

Would you require that first standard action to use concentration? This came up in my game last night when a gappled character who had already cast wind walk wanted to start changing to wind to escape the grapple. I ruled on the fly that it would require concentration for all 5 rounds, but was curious about other opinions since it is likely to come up again.

I think it would be fair to require a concentration check to pull it off in a grapple.
