Does your Dwarven warrior wield an axe?

I'm currently running a dwarven werebear in a mid/high-level game (Maure Castle, actually.) He uses a pair of axes in dwarf form... well, he *carries* a pair of axes, anyway. He's yet to use 'em - I tend to shift into hybrid and cause problems with a shillelaghed quarterstaff.

OK, so am I the only weirdo who created a sort of Marshal/Bardic/Cyrano de Bergerac-esque Duergar Dwarf whose main weapon is the rapier?

Was it spiked?

Anyway - yeah, my most recent dwarven warrior was a Dwarven Waraxe / Tower Shield kinda guy. Though he did have a big honkin gut-knife (shortsword) for in-close work.

here's a nice one. we have a dwarf fighter NPC wielding a (surprise) dwarven waraxe in our epic campaign. he and a PC elf were killed and since we didn't have the cash on-hand or time to obtain a resurrection, we had the druid reincarnate them. the elf became a gnome - he was not pleased. the dwarf however became a centaur and is now a truly kickass character! :) i imagine his top half as still looking dwarf-like though, and he still prefers using his waraxe. :D so since i usually play him in addition to my character i'll have to vote yes on the axe thing.
