Dog vs. Riding Dog (which one goes where ?)

Dog: The statistics presented here describe a fairly small dog of about 20 to 50 pounds in weight. They also can be used for small wild canines such as coyotes, jackals, and African wild dogs.

Riding Dog: This category includes working breeds such as collies, huskies, and St. Bernards.

If you ask me, we need WAY more examples, so DMs can diverfy their encounters.

For example:

• Dog: Poodle, Weiner Dog, Yokeshire, Chihuahua
• Riding Dog: German Shepherd, Doberman, Bloodhound

Since riding dogs are basically the same stats as wolves, I'd reserve it for breeds of dogs that are at least wolf-sized. German shepards, doberman pinschers, and the rare dire chihuahuas.

Regular dogs I think are fox-sized. Beagle, cocker spaniel, etc.

Actualy a regular Poodle is a large breed dog. Its the miniture and toy Poodles that your thinking of.
