Doing away with Class Skills

I think that Pcs should be able to pick and choose some skills to at least a limited degree. Alternatively, their should be a feat that allows one to acquire additional skills as class skill (there are feats that do this, but not in the Core books). I think however, that totally doing away with class skills would weaken some classes and strengthen others far too much; class balance is hugely dependent on the class skill system.

Well, yes, I agree class skills are part of balancing classes, and if one were truly to abandon the idea of them, it would be quite possibly necessary to change some classes a bit.

However, I always felt it was much more important how many skill points a class received.
