Other D&D Variant Domain play, what, if anything, do you use?

From a domain point of view as I recall it was almost identical.
The domain system doesnt really need any changes from memory, it was all d20 roll to perform a regency action against a target number. That makes it easily ported into later editions since it uses the same d20 + modifier vs TN that 3e and later players are familiar with.

Ithink if I was going to use the domain system, it would mostly be something used as the DM to create events and friction between neighbouring rulers that the players are adventuring through, solo play to create a living world around the PCs.

For my own homebrew in progress:

Tier I : Characters and Communities (Everyone comes from, and is influenced by, somewhere)
Tier II : Manors and Mansions (Base(s) of operation; character success translated into real-estate)
Tier III : Domains and Duties (Licence to Crenellate, Power of Ban)
Tier IV : Provinces and Palaces (Ye olde politiking, diplomacy, and alternative diplomacy (war))
Tier V : Countries

The Rules Cyclopedia is fairly detailed using 6 mile hexes, each of which have varying resources available out of vegetable, mineral, and animal. Combined with the number of families on that hex you get a certain amount of income.
Also, Bruce Herald, added a ton to the above in a couple of post spread across a couple Dragon magazines. He takes a much deeper dive into domains. I think they still have them over at the Vaults of Pandius. Bruce also has a website.

Which section/rules/articles are you referring to on the Vaults of Pandius site? Not sure what to look for, the place is a treasure trove of info.
