Plus I think telling someone that you're casting ____ spell doesn't matter. When you cast a spell on someone, as it starts to take effect, someone's defences spring up (you see the little bead for fireball and dodge it, you feel someone wrestling with your mind and you resist.
It may not be the best reasoning,but something about it just doesn't want bad guys or Pcs to be using this ability.
