Hey, I would help if I could figure out to use this PayPal thingie. And that's not on any political impulse, either. So stop trying to wrestle this wagon onto a political track, please?

(Went to PayPal last night anyway but gave up - too swamped in work to think straight, I guess. May try again on Sunday, after printing out Paladin's instructions.)

No offense to the Yank soldiers overseas, but I'd like to see our brave Canuck soldiers get some gaming goodies. Those poor jerks need a break, considering that even our government doesn't appriciate them.

Thanks to all those who appreciate this effort! :D

Our total is now 18 out of 30, keep them coming folks.

If anyone is offended by me getting donations for these soldiers simply donate 12 sets and you'll never see a thread on this again. :D

We're getting closer!

I've received a monetary donation for 3 more sets! That brings our total to: 21 out of 30. C'mon folks only 9 more sets to go. :)

Let's go people, we only need a few more sets! Wouldn't it be cool if we could get 8 more sets by the end of this weekend?

I personally will never buy from Tallon comics again due to this thread. There are far more needy people in the world then the US military.

Yeah! Stupid US military. What has it ever done for anyone besides save the world from the Nazis and later, the commies.

PS: I sent issues of Scrollworks and some dice on Tue. ;)

I just added 2 sets from orc and pie games (my soon-to-be FLGS shop I'm starting).

My father and uncle are both in the PA National Guard and I know I would be greatly depressed if my family was sent overseas, but I'd be very greatful if they had a community like this that sent them stuff.

Huzzah!

So, figure out a way to get people to help them out, and post a thread on it.

It doesn't have to do with need. It has to do with showing appreciation for those who serve to ensure we retain the freedom to run off at the mouth.

Not a bad idea at all. There are plenty of Canadians on these boards and at Nutkinland; I don't see why such an effort wouldn't get a big response also. Same goes with the UK. Perhaps someone could spearhead the effort for their respective countries?
