I said your claim that there was nothing whatsoever anyone could have an issue with the last two years as wrong (not even misinformation) and the 2024 changes as misinformation when it comes to the issues that were brought up as things where WotC got some negative publicity
With respect, I didn’t say no one could have an issue with it. Sly Flourish had his Saturday afternoon spoiled. The streamer who got a knock on the door had to give something back that he thought he’d lucked onto.

The point is these things are not unpleasant or offensive. Certainly not looking at it as a bystander. Neither is not uploading the Beyond material quickly enough. Neither is working out an AI strategy and working through this with hundreds of artists.

Now if they had sued Jorphdan or shut his YouTube channel down we would be having a different conversation. No harm no foul.

Wow. That's majorly underselling it.
The Pinkertons were harassing him and his family, creating a traumatic experience.

It was a jerk move from WotC to send the Pinkertons.

Have you actually listened to both of the streams where the they explained what happened or are you just going off second hand accounts? The pinkertons were trying to track down what they believed to be stolen goods that the streamer believes was just mistakenly shipped. In the second stream he makes it clear that the incident was being blown out of proportion and that in large part he was intimidated because he's a self proclaimed history buff and recognized the pinkertons based on what they did in the early 20th century. This was all a one sided story and the last thing he says is that the pinkertons chilled out once they understood the situation. He never once claimed they were being harassed. The pinkertons gave him a number to call and when he called wizards they were apologetic and sent him replacement cards. When I listened to the stream I kept waiting for the moment where there was a scandal and there wasn't one.

I really aren’t. To supplement AIVikings point. You don’t send an employee/manager round to peoples houses. It isn’t safe, you could walk into any situation. It’s totally normal to use a security company. Securitas etc.

Also worth noting that if the guy had just kept the cards and enjoyed them it wouldn’t have been a problem. They tracked him down because he posted them all over his channel so he could cash in.

Pretty sure the gave him alternatives as amends.

I’m detecting a theme here.

[Edit/ worth saying the guy does seem like a really decent guy, and I’m glad it drove a lot of traffic to his channel. He calls out in a video that he felt media sources were exaggerating and exploiting his situation to get views.]

I have been going off the second hand accounts because I don't follow the original channel. (I'm not a Magic player.)
Thanks for more information. I won't spread misinformation further.

Edit: thanks @TheSword for additional details.

But we really need to know how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. It's incredibly important.
