Double Weapons and Trip Attacks

This is actually two questions.

1) Do you get the x1.5 damage with a double weapon? With a +4 Str modifier qould a quarterstaff be 1d6+4/1d6+2 or 1d6+6/1d6+2 or 1d6+6/1d6+4?

2) If you trip someone while they are casting a spell what kind of concentration check do they make?

1) You can use a quarterstaff (or any other doubleweapon) as a twohanded weapon (1.5 times strength bonus) or as a doubleweapon (one additional attack, strength bonus to main attacks, half strength bonus to offhand attacks)

2) Tough question... at least the concentration check for unusual movement...
