One house rule I use is that outsiders with DR/evil or DR/good also have DR/lawful or DR/chaotic if they are one of the extreme alignments - so that devils, being LE, are actually DR/good or chaotic, and demons are DR/good or lawful - and thus devils and demons bypass each other's DR and the blood war goes on. This makes the Yugoloths even more valuable as mercenaries to either side, since being NE, they are only DR/good and neither the devils or demons can bypass their DR.
Yoink!

Good idea.

DR X/Evil or Chaotic for Archons.

Actually, a creature with DR can overcome that DR with its natural weapons. The reference source and page number seems to elude me right now though.

Nope, only on specific kinds of DR, and only from specific sources. Golems can't overcome DR/adamantine, Fey can't overcome DR/Cold Iron, and Lycanthropes can't overcome DR/Silver, unless specifically mentioned.

And unless I'm mistaken those specific kinds of DR are currently limited to x/magic and x/epic.

Well... not to derail but why can't a demon or devil use a good aligned weapon??
or even a holy weapon but suffering the 2 negative levels?

Surely they can. But there may be consequences if one were to make a habit of this over the eons.

I am imagining a Blood War hero that is secretly Lawful Neutral or Chaotic Neutral with a weapon whispering for him to do good deeds.
