Draconomicon Ch list

Why, exactly, are there dragon Prestige Classes? Do dragons have class levels?

Or are they prestige classes for non-dragons that are related to dragons ala the Dragon Diciple?

DS

Just got done reading some of this during lunch....they are prestige classes for dragons, or in some cases creatures with the draconic type, the character stuff is in the 3rd chapter...one of the prestige classes for dragons, the dragon acendant) deals with dragons working on becoming Gods. The book includes some epic feats (reprints) because this book enable the GM to take the dragons up on all fronts (advancement of hit dice + class levels + prestige classes for dragons...in case you need the CR 100 dragon)

More later!

Crystal Dragons

So there's nothing on the Gemstone dragons (currently sitting in MM2)? That's too bad..I always liked the "Neutral" branch of Dragonkind.

Regarding Draconic Prestige classes, there is also the 1/2 dragon template from the MM which can be used as a player class. Fairly well balanced, from my experience playing one in Swack-Iron's campaign.

Oddly enough, it's the hoardstealer that's really captured my imagination.

I mean, that's a REAL thief. That's greed on an epic level. The biggest risk in the world and the biggest payoff.

Actually the gem dragons are mentioned...alll the halfdragon stuff deals with the other dragons, not the base 10. So if you want to do a half-emerald drag now, it's in there.

I haven't read ch1 yet (too much looking at feats & prestige classes...mmm, metabreath feats) but it's a pretty good sized part of the book. Lots of good art in this one too, I love this book so far!

I got a look at this book today, and I have to say it's one of the best-looking RPG books I've ever seen, both from a physical standpoint as well as a game-material standpoint. Some of my favorite parts are the example dragons and the sample hoards. I can see really running a huge dragon campaign with this book, making dragons and draconic creatures not only the main bad guys but the mooks as well. :)

how about a:

half-dragon (turtle) / half-troll (scrag)

or a:

half-dragon (sea drake) / half-fiend (myrmyxicus)
