Draconomicon Ch list

All dragons with complete sets of age categories are considered "true" dragons.

They should have included those for the sea drake and dragon turtle, then. ;) I suppose I'll hold out for that information in a Draconomicon web-enhancement, while working on similar tables for my coral, pearl, and abalone dragons.

I'll probably continue using my version of the Half-Dragon Template even after I get the Draconomicon. Links to my Half-Dragon Material are below for those of you interested in checking it out.

Edit: links removed for future use on another site.

Many thanks for the list of content in the Draconomican !!!!!!

A must have for me !!! It's a real shame that they haven't included anything on Gem Dragons ! A bit more work for us that hoped that this book would be the definitive guide for a "Council of the Wyrms" conversion.

Ho Hum !!!!!

Cheers - FMD

Maybe in the web enhancement?

I continue to reread Council of Wyrms while I await the Draconomicon. Since all I have time for these days is one-shots, I'm tempted to run the "Hatchlings" adventure...if a followup is needed, I could use the other two adventures...start each followup with, "Five hundred years later..."

Like I posted earlier, I'd be strongly tempted to rethink half-dragons in CoW and make them accepted members of society...below the dragons but above the rest of the world. Each PC would control a dragon, and also that dragon's half-dragon offspring [or extended family], sorta like cohorts. This would lend itself to troupe-style play, as the timeline advanced and the dragons consolidated their power...

Eh. But with my current lack of free time, I'll be lucky to just run the one-shot.

The images over at gaming report are AMAZINGLY COOL!

And they answer a few questions:

Ferret: There are pages scanned from chapter one that suggest it is at least 50 pages long.

Gez: the golems are the ironwyrm, dragonbone and drakestone golems. No dragonflesh update that I can see...

I'm a bit stoked that this is coming out, although I wish the dragonrider PrC was the same as the one in the DLCS. I'm going to need to buy the DLCS for the one PrC and the one in this book won't do the job I need it to do...

The books out, at least it is in the thriving micropolis of Altus OK (25 more days before I go back to California... I'm getting awfully short).

Anyway I picked it up, it looks pretty cool, 288 pages of nothing but Dragons. Anybody want any details?

Olive,

The Sacred Warder of Bahamut is a good dragon prestige class in which the dragon sacrifices its natural sorcerer spells for divine spell-caster levels (which increase with the prestige class). You have to be a dragon to qualify, and the Unholy Ravager of Tiamut is a similar class for evil dragons.

In the next chapter (the player's perspective), the Platinum Knight is a PrC for any creature who "protects good-aligned dragonkind from their natural enemies, the chromatic dragons, as well as any others who would prey upon these noble creatures." Any player can take the class, which is similar to a paladin (they get Bahamut's Grace, which is the same as Divine Grace, only the two stack!) The Talon of Tiamat is that PrC counterpart, only with different abilities.

cheers,
ryan

Would it make a good paladin PrC do you think? IMC Bahamut is a major god for a particular human ethnic group, and they have a lot of paladins...
