Hi Darkness mate! :)

Alter Form and Alter size, maybe? *shrug*

I don't think they would factor those into the base figure though!

Well, he is imprisoned so it kinda figures, I guess...

Theres quite a difference from (potentially) the most powerful being in the multiverse to mere Intermediate God.

Tharizdun got the shaft!

It's covered in the Living Greyhawk Journal section, along with The Chalice of Everlasting, Druniazth (Claw of Tharizdun), and Kuroth's Quill.

They note that "a future issue of the Living Greyhawk Jornal will contain a complete list of all known artifacts on Oerth."

I wonder will they tackle the Theorpart!?

Incidently, whats the Druniazth like!?

Hi Vuron! :)

Iuz normally has 2 forms a wizened old man and a huge demonic form.

If you were to factor in the strength and constitution ups for say moving from medium to say huge or bigger that strength stat seems pretty reasonable.

Iuz size increase still constitutes Medium size.

5ft. Human form
7ft. Demonic Form (remember hes a Cambion)

Just because Graz'zt isn't enormous doesn't mean that Iuz doesn't take after Kostochie or Fraz'urb'luu

Well I would imagine he takes after his father (Graz'zt) and mother (Iggwilv).

Perhaps his Magic Cloak (or his Sword?) adds to Strength?

Hrmm so his cambion form is still just medium then?

Hard to explain then, my guess is that he's devoted alot stat increases plus inherent bonuses to strength. Personally I've always thought of him as more of a scheming sorceror type who uses pawns and lackies to beat up the opposition. After all Robilar came close to killing him in the ruins of Castle Greyhawk which wouldn't seem likely if Iuz is that bad news. Of course Iuz recieved a decent powerup during the course of Die Vecna Die so who knows.

As for the artifacts I think that many of the big named ones are going to be covered in the ELH however they might be less potent than some people would like ;)

Well, they dont give a full-accounting of whatever items these gawds normally carry. The only item shown for Iuz is a +3 chaotic unholy greatsword.
Although he is listed as having a +7 deflection bonus to AC, dunno if that is from an item or some sort of divine power (the later seems unlikely since he is listed as having a divine bonus to AC = to his divine rank).

Also, it is impossible to reverse engineer their saves. I did this out of curiosity and you come up with numbers significantly different from what is listed.

Iuz for instance is listed at Fort +44, Reflex +34, & Will +46...
if you reverse engineer those from the info provided you get Fort +38, Reflex +35, & Will +40.
An item that grants +6 to saves would account for the difference in Fort and Will, but why on Oerth does his Reflex save go down? :p

There are similar problems with all of them.

Right. :p At least he got "good" publicity in 3e, with the sales of a certain adventure... ;)

Yep.

Surely it gives size in the stats...anyone!?

Thats my guess as well (Are any of his feats listed as multiples I wonder (something with strength in it perhaps?)

Iuz was always depicted as a full on scrapper in the Gord the Rogue novels!

The most powerful weapon in (real world) mythology almost certainly has to be Mjolnir (!?) I would be shocked if its not the top weapon (barring Uber-deity artifacts) in the D&Dg book!?

I believe they will handle all unique artifacts within a deities stat block in D&Dg.

Iuz only ever had a Sword and Cloak of note anyway.
