The idea behind the "Feats of Personality" article is that the standard feats from the PHB can give insight into characters by asking things like how a feat affect how they behave or respond to things, what they had to be like to take the feat, or how do others view them because they have it. It gives three paragraphs to most of the feats (or groups of feats, stuff like the mounted and ranged weapon feats are addressed together), the first paragraph makes some general comments, the others give good and bad things it may indicate about a character's personality. It has three sample characters, and a list of multiple keywords that can be associated with particular feats.

Though a lot of experienced gamers might dismiss the advice as obvious (though I doubt they'd think of all the suggestions on their own), this could be useful for a lot of people.

Do any of the article have a side bar saying - We want your feedback because the contents of this article may appear in a future product? (It would seem unlikely for me, though)

I know that there wasn't anything like that in the artifacts article when I turned it in :D

A couple of hours after I posted the thread, I suddenly thought to myself "Did I remember not to put an 'e' in Allan again?" I remembered telling myself not to, but I didn't remember actually not doing so, or in fact my spellchecker telling me that I should do so. So I got back online to make sure -- pointlessly, it turned out.

I also double checked to be sure Mat (no second t) Smith hadn't done anything for this issue.

Thanks for caring enough to check again: I've got cousins, aunts, and uncles who should learn that trick and Pagan Publishing used to spell it right in alternate books ;)

It's probably more out of concern for my vastly overdeveloped sense of embarrassment than any sort of laudable care on my part. However, I've had endless problems with my last name, and I feel I owe it to the memory of my father to make more of an effort than the people who made out his high school diploma did.

The honour system sounds very similar to the Pendragon system of virtues. Anyone remember those? Great game that.

As for issue 300, I hoped they wouldn't make a 'mature' issue to support Book of Vile Darkness, which I think is a bad idea for a product in the first place. Some kid is going to get this issue in his subscription and his mother's going to go bonkers. I just don't think the hobby needs that kind of publicity.

Some think we need need a book with rules for graphic sex, depraved violence and other 'mature' themes. I really don't. And I don't think that those themes are 'mature.' but purile. It's a shame, because I could have used the template info from that issue and I hate missing even one issue of Dragon. Oh, well, Cest la vie...
