Oh, got mine in today too. Fantastic magazine, makes me beam with pride about owning a subscription to Dragon. :D

I got mine too yesterday. Which is strange, since I'm in Europe, and we are usually at least a week behind you guys in the US. But I won't complain. :)

And yes, I think this is a realy good issue. The article on Wee Jas is awsome.

Congrats, Shemy on the article! You're not the only one here with supernatural knowledge of that issue, as well. We're appearing in the same issue together. ;-) I co-wrote the article on Irongate.

I knew a few of the folks who were also contributing articles in the World Serpent series (mostly because they were listed in the CC field in the email I got regarding the article basics). Frankly I'm tremendously flattered, because I'm in really sweet company.

I'm looking forward to seeing the other articles.

Ooh nice, congratulations! Can't wait to see it. :D

Care to hint at the topic of the article or too soon? ;)

Since it wasn't hinted at in the issue previews, I'm going to hold off on giving any hints till the article comes out unless I hear otherwise.

That said, I suppose I can say what ideas I pitched for the topic of the article that didn't end up being what I wrote. *chuckle*

It's not:
An article on Center / City-at-the-Center in the Gray Waste
An article on the 'Pinwheel' in Limbo
An article on a city of my own creation on Carceri's layer of Colothys (where the members of the city's various social strata are quite literally above or below one another, suspended between the sides of a massive chasm)
An article on a city of my own creation on Carceri's layer of Porphatys (sort of like a frigid, acidic, fiendish Venice)

That said, I just got my own copy of #350 today, so if anyone has questions about it, I'm game to field them

Not yet but considering the fact about 1/3 of the "core" gods have been covered, (Vecna, Pelor, Wee Jas, and Odimmila(sp), I'm sure there's one more but I forget), I'd say it's even odds for 2007.

You left out the first one: Boccob.

Has the World Serpent Inn ever gotten a write-up in Dragon, or just in MoP? (Other than Planescape, yadda yadda.)
The World Serpent Inn has been also detailed in:

- OP1 Tales of the Outer Planes (I believe the first ever mention of it)
- Volo's Guide to Cormyr (sparsely, with more details about the dingy tavern that exists in the same location without saying the password to access the World Serpent Inn).

Yup, it certainly was the first mention. OP1, a collection of shorter adventures using the World Serpent Inn as the common starting point, and the only 1E product to follow up on the 1E Manual of the Planes, was in many ways the precursor to the Planescape campaign setting.

Mmm, very much looking forward to the Wee Jas article, (mainly because one of the players in my Age of Worms campaign has developed something of a romantic interest in Amarris, leader of the Green Lady cult).

Anything I can get to flesh out their religion will be very well recieved.
Oh, also...it's nice to be back after a very long time away from the boards. (Close to two years away now).

in many ways, indeed! :) i'd say the PS CS was equal parts 1E MoTP, Monstrous Compendium #8, other various random sources, and original inspiration. :)

I got mine yesturday. I was playing Magic TG last night, so I've only flipped through it.

Seems an entertaining issue, to say the least. I liked the articles on pollution, that was pretty cool. I can see some adventures dealing with environmental issues coming out of this.

The Wee Jas articles were pretty neat, except I have my own pantheon in my campaign world, so the information won't be immediately useful to me as a DM. I loved the superficial spells dealing with deaging and changing clothes.

And Swarm of Puffins, classic.

You know, I swear I've read that Erik Mona editorial somewhere else, but I can't remember where. Not that it was bad or anything, just that I know I've read it before.

Maybe when the threads about the end of Monte's campaign were around?
