Pathfinder WotR has body tattoos even though they are almost always covered by clothes and armour.
It's supposedly a nickname that we have, as our background/lineage choices will define our last name and then we can have characters we are ... getting close to can use a name instead of a title. As a gripe, I just cannot believe that after having people call us Warden, Hawke, Herald, Inquisitor... now they will say Rook. That's not a title, that just sounds like the rookie of the team, or an illiterate orc.
Yes, but 'Rook is a nickname that everyone will refer to you as'. Your last name will likely be like in Inquisition, reserved to a few specific 'Lord/Lady Adaar' bits. Rook is not even a title like Warden, so it doesn't make sense for everyone to call you that, but here we are. It's supposedly a nickname that we have, as our background/lineage choices will define our last name
That's awful gripe lol.As a gripe, I just cannot believe that after having people call us Warden, Hawke, Herald, Inquisitor... now they will say Rook. That's not a title, that just sounds like the rookie of the team, or an illiterate orc.
So is finding the THE in Veilguard infuriating. That's awful gripe lol.
Hahaha fair enough. I'm okay with or without a The. But yes for consistency it should have just been Veilguard. So is finding the THE in Veilguard infuriating.

I may be completely wrong but I get the impression that the Veilguard is a rather small, intimate organization. Unlike the Inquisition. It might just be you and your companions with a handful of helpers and informants? A nickname would fit that kind of dynamic better than a formal title and a single last name like Hawke would clash with the different races and backgrounds you can choose.Rook is not even a title like Warden, so it doesn't make sense for everyone to call you that, but here we are.
