Dragon disciple

Duskblade/Dragon Disciple would be nice... it does have the added benefit of making your spells useful in melee via arcane channeling...

I prefer Fighter, for feats, and 6 levels of sorcerer, to load up on self buffs. Claw attacks, biting, a shield spell, true strike... much carnage. Fig 1/Sor 6/Eldritch Knight 3/DD 10 is BAB +17. Delaying your entry into DD means you get higher level bonus spell slots. With the Extra Spell feat, you can have a very robust selection of 1st-3rd level spells.

Slight quibble: wouldn't 3 levels of Spellsword give you the same 2/3 casting and better HD than 3 levels of EK? IIRC the first dead level gives you a bonus feat, the same as EK . . .

By the way, from what level will the campaign starts?

Some builds are so weak until all the preparations are done. While they are strong in the end, they are not so efficient when they are at lower levels. Usually, most frequently played level for dice and paper gamers are, say, 2 or 3 to 15 or so. You would better recommend some builds which makes the character at least efficient in some level all through the campaign.

On the other hand, in extreme case, if your play group even play epic level campaign, some may take DD AFTER epic. I mean, take 20 levels of full-bab class or classes, then take a level of some spell-casting class if necessary, then take 10 levels of DD. That will give character maximum BAB and Maximum strength. This kind of builds were quite popular in NWN. But that is because PCs level up so fast and many plays until epic levels.

My bad. Anyway, it hardly matters if you plan on using your claws and bite attack.
Matters a lot if you pick up a greatsword (which you should). Keep using your Bite, though. 5 attacks are better than 4.
