[Dragon] Dragons need armor and weapons?

I myself thought the article was great. Everything seemed fine to me. Armor was the only bit I was a bit wary of though, because it has an ASF%. Now if you have armor enhancments that can do away with ASF%, then totally go for it. Hand the nice ole dragon Heavy Fortification while we're at it!

The tail weapons were pretty cool. I thought they did their job well, to enhance the dragon. Now all you have to do is obtain a Necklace of Natural Weapons from SS so you can put various enhancments on claw, bite, wing, and crush attacks. *imagines throwing and returning enhancment on crush attack* :p

Items for Dragons

I've never been a big fan of Dragons using items.

It just doesn't seem to fit with Smaug in the Hobbit, or other Dragons from Fiction and Myth (other than Bazil Broketail).

On the other hand, I have no objections to Dragons having more magic abilities. I like one of the old articles from Dragon #50, which suggested just picking magic items and giving the Dragons the abilities (without having to use the item).

Vorpal teeth, Beguiling Eyes, etc.

If you were going to give a Dragon custom equipment, probably their biggest needs would be for concealment magic (anti-detection, invis, silence, etc.) and for greater range for their breath weapon.

Currently, dragon breath weapons are mostly a close range weapon (40 feet range to 100 feet range depending on the breath weapon type). To be really effective, the Dragon's Breath weapon needs the range of a longbow. i.e. 1000 feet to 2000 feet worth of range.
