Dragon fighting techniques

i actually meant sneak attack, just not in the rogue ability sense. I was trying to get at the idea of hit and run tactics. Hide behind cover, then come out and attack, then cover again. Oh yeah, fly spells are uber helpful when doing this.

aha! It all becomes clear! :)

One of the dragons we encountered was actually gunning for us.

We holed up in a relatively narrow canyon and set up some surprises for it.

Alarm spells on the most likely approach paths.

A very big, heavy net to trap it in. Used the TK spell to throw the net, it was that heavy. The net wasn't visible from outside the canyon, wouldn't see it until it was too late.

Greater Magic Weapon cast on arrows, so that they could hurt the thing. Several people set up to fly up and take it down.

The hardest problem is that the dragons tend to fly faster than a spell can go. That is why we used a net to entangle it. Once it was entangled, the fighters could come in and start attacking it before it got back up.

It definately helped that the dragon was on the offensive, so we got some choice in the terrain.
