Alzrius said:In the standard D&D cosmology, the Outer Planes (for the most part) have layers. Each layer is infinite, and part of the plane in question. For example, the Seven Mounting Heavens of Celestia has seven layers in it. Likewise, the Nine Hells of Baator has nine layers. The Abyss, in this case, has an infinite number of infinite layers (though older editions said it topped out at 666).
The concept of "layers" can be hard to imagine from a physical standpoint. The thing to remember is that this is metaphysics. A second layer of a plane doesn't have the first pne physically above it. Rather, the second layer has it's own sky, ground, etc.
No, what I think he means is, since 1e, Pazuzu's domain has been the skies of all the layers of the Abyss; he's never had a layer of his own. But now, he apparently has Layer 503 to himself. The poster doesn't like the change.
Demiurge out.
