Oh, we have been among you for quite some time. We hide ourselves among the normal gamers here. And I assure, the parallels have been drawn, we are merely keeping quiet.

Trust me, I know. I've been about twenty inches away from The Gneech before. :P

MAHAHAHA.

Gamers like dragons. Gamers like boobs. Gamers get dragons with boobs.
OR, breasts are just the most commonly recognized trait that differentiates male from female in fantasy art. Many of the monsters in the MM have boobs.

Doesn't take much more thinking than that.

A lot of it is just that the average person has an easier time relating to similar things than to unusual things. Sure, some of us get a kick out of the extremely unusual, but most people just want to apply the spiffy aspects of other things to what they're otherwise comfortable with.

We've got a WHOLE THREAD on dragonborn breasts, so it's not really needed here.

Also, Races and Classes flat out states that they lay eggs. So yeah.

Heh. Gotta catch 'em all?
Men have nipples, but not boobs, despite the possible advantage of better connecting with the Other gender.

Personally, I think that perhaps if you want to explain Dragonborn boobs biologically, give them some sort of reasoning that doesn't have to do with producing and distributing milk. Maybe the chest is just a place where fat naturally collects first in females. Like, instead of the 'posterior'. Maybe Dragonborn females have an unseen fold of scales in their chest, where the eggs come out rather than elsewhere.

I need breasts.

As for... what was the question...

dragonborn are teh suck. :1:

Ah shoot, surprised!

(This should probably be deleted)

The Dragonborn race is the Simulationist Roleplayer's dream come true!
I love it!

And it's a fantasy race, who cares?

I don't understand what the issue is with a lizard-like race having breasts despite not breast feeding.

Breasts are a large repository for pheromones, thus why there is an instinctual attraction for men towards big breasts and plunging necklines (scientifically, really). Perhaps Dragonborn females have breasts that act in the same fashion; not necessarily to breastfeed egg-born brood, but to attract mates. Both mammals and reptiles have pheromones, so I don't see this being too much of a stretch. Then again, who's to say that Dragonborn females don't breastfeed? ;)

To quote myself in the other thread:

"While the 'unrealism' bit is part of the big complaint against dragonborn breasts, I think the crux of the argument is 'It's unimaginative, sloppy, lazy, and panders to the lowest common denominator, and if we wanted that, we'd play FATAL.'"
