I've got a player who is interested in both a cleric, and a KoS; I'm thinking of allowing certain cleric types, like War, to be able to take the KoS background, especially since they are specifically mentioned in the flavor text as candidates to join the KoS from what we've seen from the previews.

Also, I've got someone interested in playing a gnome artificer. I was thinking of possibly incorporating some sort of wild surge roll to go with the flavor of Krynn gnome inventions (maybe it's mentioned in some of the text we haven't seen yet anyway lol), but I would have to come up with something to balance that.

Anyone can take either of the backgrounds. A barbarian can take the Initiate of High Sorcery. The listed classes (fight/paladin and sorcerer/wizard) are able to skip the background requirement and just pick the feat as their bonus feat.
