I'm not sure the standard myself but I do know that the Innfellows are not standard lol. Try it at 32 see what you come up with.
Remember Sturm should have a good Str, Con, Cha, and Int so that will chew up some points.

So if it's to be a tactical Warlord, it would look abit like this I'd guess:

Code:
[U]22 pt. buy 32 pt. buy[/U]
Str: 16 17 (+2) Human
Con: 12 16
Dex: 9 10
Int: 16 (+2) Human 16
Wis: 10 10
Cha: 14 14

Also, would the famous 'Half-Plate Armour of the Knights of Solamnia' be Plate Armour? Would take two feats for a Warlord to wear that.

I think maybe that your INT and WIS are off Sturm should have a least a +1 wis modifier and not be so smart but I like the 32 pt buy it looks closer to his character.

You won't need any feats for half plate remeber starting at 1st lvl these will be adventures leading up to the compianions leaving for 5 years and then the war of the lance happens Sturm is the tactical leader of the group from what he saw as a boy before he nd his mother moved to Solace.

I'd like to give Raistlin Majere a try. :)

With 32 point buy my guess on attributes would be:

Str 12
Con 10
Dex 15 (7)
Int 20 (16, +2 due to race)
Wis 10
Cha 14 (5)

Welcome Aboard Bialaska:

Your stat buys would be great if we were playing Rasitlin after he took the test. But this is when he was younger and an had a little better con/str I would say he even had a 12 str while he was a black robe from the way the books describe him. And why is everyone making there wisdom's low is there something I don't know going on. I am new to 4e like everyone else maybe I'm missing something let me know. Good start Bialaska just raise the con to like 10 / the wisdom to like 12/ dropping the int a little and i think you got him

Well, I made Raistlin's wisdom pretty low because Raistlin doesn't strike me as the wisest person alive. He's extremely intelligent, but makes some bad judgements at times, only to realize in the end that he should have done something differently.

Wisdom isn't as important in 4e as it was in 3.5. Your will save is dependent of Charisma or Wisdom, where the highest is applied. This means that if you got a good charisma you only use wisdom for skills. It's the same for Intelligence and Dexterity, where highest is applied to AC (if wearing light armor) and Reflex. And the highest of Strength and Constitution determines Fortitude.

Ah so that,s what I'm missing characters really only need three good stats hmmm... I would disagree that heisn't wise I would say he focus on a certain goal and then notices nothing else going on around him because of it. I was thinking he had at least a 12 wisdom not overly wise but above the average person in the world. Your stats are looking o.k. as you have edited them I guess feats and skills next?

I think I remember reading at some point how Raistlin has always been weak and frail, almost dying at birth and only surviving by miracle. He kinda identifies himself with the Gully Dwarves because others look down upon them and Caramon has been the one to step in and protect his weak twin. Since most of the bullies of Solace are non-heroic characters, they'd have average stats, which means Raistlin must have been below that. After tower he's even weaker, possibly having 6 or so constitution.

Yep I remebered he almost died at birth but Kit saved him. I remember reading him at firt level once before don't remember where but it said in the background that after almost dying at birth he grew up normally some book I believe. And I do know in Brother's Majere that he was healthy but your right probably best to go with CON 10 after test it will drop.

Code:
[U]32 pt. buy[/U]
Str: 18 (+2 Human)
Con: 16
Dex: 10
Int: 14
Wis: 12
Cha: 14

Alright, taking down Int a bit could yield this:

The 'Half-Plate Armour of the Knights of Solamnia' was Sturm's (only) inheritance from his father. So he would likely own (and use?) it as early as coming to Solace, wouldn't he?

Shouldn't Sturm be a Paladin rather than Warlord? Possibly a Paladin with the Warlord multiclass feat. Paladin is the heavily armored knightly type more than the Warlord.

Also Tanis is an archer, which means he's most likely a Ranger rather than Warlord. Rangers gain abilities that makes them competent archers, Warlords do not even gain the ability to use bows!
