Dragon's Landing Podcast - Server Problems (Grumble!)

First Post
My apologies to anyone who may have tried to visit our web site today. Our web host had a server go down and www.dragonslanding.com went down with it. Luckily, it's back up now.

The good news is that we just finished recording episode 3 tonight, so it should be available for download tomorrow night, provided the server doesn't crash on us again. (Grrr!)

And, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Gei...

Nevermind. :)

Indeed! And another fun show it is! :)

I highly recommend this show to everyone.

The production sound on the show is much better than Mortality's was and the move to Skype for interviewing guess and the buffers you are using for it sound great.

Guests sound like they are in the room with you. You two are also sounding a lot more confident and comfortable with the show.

I downloaded all three and am very pleased that I did. You guys keep doing it - and I'll keep listening every week.

Well done and congrats!

P.S.: Chuck's a power gamer, isn't he? Admit it! FESS UP!!

I've only had the chance to listen to a bit of the first one, but I was impressed. It sounded like some real time was put into it and will certainly be planning to listen to the others and "stay tuned" so to speak.

Sorry, what's Dragon's Landing? (I know what a podcast is.) Interviews? Radio drama-style adventure? 'Splain..!

Head on over to their site and they will have information about what content is in the current podcast.

Essentially another kick at the can at Mortality Radio, podcast style.

A little more structured - definitely MUCH better production values. Sound quality is very good.

In fairness to Mortality's older sounding tech - it was a pioneer and was premised upon being a live show with IRC participants. That bandwidhth consumption came at the price of squishing the sound all to hell instead of purty mp3 stereo goodness.

Dragon's Landing is recorded then posted.

But for all of that I'm really really impressed with it and the guys are clearly putting a LOT of work into this project and it shows.

Show #1 was very rough. If it never got better than that - you'd be justified saying "uhmmm, I don't know about this."

But it does get better. A lot better. #2 improved markedly and it showed very good production values in the skype interview (which I enjoyed a lot, btw).

By the time you hit show#3, Chuck and Lonnie are clearly becoming very comfortable with the microphone and they are on a roll. Kudos all around.

Keep it coming guys!

(Just don't burn out on it)
