Dragons: MM2, etc.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Dragons: MM2, etc.

Does anyone have information on the Dragonkin and Ibrandlin?

Specifically, how do they work -- static (like wyrven or dragon turtle), dynamic (like red dragon), or template (like half-dragon)?

Rust Dragon 31-33
Styx Dragon 33 + 36 (34-35 is an ad)
Tarterian Dragon 37-38

Thanks! That's just what I needed.

The Ibrandlin is a Gargantuan Dragon, with 10HD and enhancement of 11-20 (Gargantuan). And, IMO, the single mostunderrated Monster below Epic levels:
Envision something with 135 HP, 5 Attacks (1x +18/4x +13) with 4d6+12/ 2d8+6 and SR 20, Fort +14, Ref and Will +7. What CR would you give? Or, what CR would you most certainly not give? If you answer the latter with "CR 5", we agree.

Dragonkin are Monstrous Humanoids (Reptilian) with CR3 (though I don't know ECL, it should be around +10, maybe more). They have wings and fly 40ft (good).

I didn't see it. Have you posted it yet?

Whoops. Confusing things. Yes, it's written and posted, just not on ENWorld. It's at d20 Weekly.

From the given information, my CR Estimator gives it 13. Dragon Magazine's CR Guesstimator gives CR 10.

A big difference between the MM2 dragons and the PsiHB dragons is also subtypes.

The PsiHB uses subtypes like (Sonic) and (Light) for theirs. The MM2 divides them all into elemental types...not entirely sure how I feel about it, since even a core dragon (the white) isn't an elemental creature, but an energy creature...

Are there any other differences? Do you think I should include a citation for the MM2 gem dragons in the file, or just a footnote?

Cool. You might want to ask for help to add those Dragons in MMII, and I think there was a previous issue of Dragon magazine with new Dragons as well.
