Dragonstar game

Reposted from the DSD20 mailing list - I finally got to run my first DS adventure today. Yeah!

We just had 3 players and a female gnome ranger NPC armed with a submachine gun, Wist Qumancer. The players were a drow rogue/wizards, a half drow/half dragon (I know..don't ask :) and a human rogue/fighter.

The party started in a bugbear owned bar named Brudecks on Merdian Four in a system in the black dragon ruled sector of space near the Outlands. They were approached by a grey elf noble who paid the party to serach for his sister. The party made their way to the red light district of town lead by a wererat named Blind Pew. There they met a female giff dressed in a pink skintight dress named Petunia. Pew and Petnia lead the party to a seedy bookshop owned by Scarred Tomlin. Tomlin told the party that the elf was being held by the neogi. Tomlin wanted a favor from the party for the information. They were to recover a few crates of Ziran a narcotic from a dead magic area in a rundown section of town. Inside an abandoned warehouse they were attacked by two mobats. They found the crates and made their way back to the bookshop.
In other notes, the drow has a ship the Ebony Silk and is based on Merdian four. He is secretly working for the drow high priestess of lloth who wants him to run guns to the githyanki to further the drow war againist the illithids.

To me it seems very spelljammerish :D
Why don't you write a Story Hour? I'd love another Dragonstar Story Hour :)

Sounds interesting

I like it, and don't mind the Spelljammer influences at all. Is Blind Pew actually blind? or at least blind in one eye? What race is Tomlin?
How about posting some of the NPC's stats?
I imagine Petunia and company could make for great additions to several folks Dragonstar Games.

Glad this is generating some interest!!

In answer to your questions.....Blind Pew is blind in both eyes I imagined, blinded by someone with a silver weapon. Tomlin is a gnome. One of the magazine's in his shop, Big Uns had Petunia on the cover.

Ziran is in 3e Lords of Darkness p. 185.

I didnt really do stats on the NPC's except the orc thugs whom I indented to use as combatants. I'll write up Brubeck as an expert later this week and post him.

The area of space the PC's are in are ruled by the black dragons. Like Traveller there is a system of nobility in my game. The area is ruled by a Black Dragon "count" who serves the Black Dragon Duke. If the Black Dragons were to become Emporer, the "duke" would assume the throne, setting off a war to see who is the next Duke. Or maybe it will be settled peacably.

Anyways....there is the old Black Dragon Count's half breed Blackguard son head of the Order of the Destroyer on Merdian 4.

The Order of the Destroyer is a group of blackguards dedicated to the spread of this evil religion. See page 66 of Deities and Demigods 3e for Erythnul, a good example for this god.
