Dream products that will never see the light of day...

Snow Crash is great for the first two thirds -- completely brilliant. I found that the last part of the book was unfortunately a real cop out though. It has all the excitement and cleverness of standing over someone's shoulder while they play quake. Because of this I don't think it deserves to take Neuromancer's crown away.

You know what'd be cool? Seeing my own works in full gloss, full color, hardcover edition. All I need to do is finish writing them, get enough people to demand it, and work out a deal with Fantasy Flight or Sword and Sorcery or somesuch :D

I'd love to see a setting based on Magic: the Gathering. Something that starts with the background info of the first basic sets, and then gets additional books corresponding to the various Magic expansions which detail all the new stuff and the storyline's progress.

Your wish is my command; I convert about 3 cards to d20 nightly. Kinda a ritual.

As to my wishlist:
SPELLJAMMER SPELLJAMMER SPELLJAMMER
Now that that's out of my system, more realms "crunch" material would be nice, too.

A 3E version of the Birthright domain rules (perhaps expanded a little so it can deal with a variety of scales) seperated from the BR setting.

Yay! Though what I had in mind was first of all a big comprehensive description of the M:tG universe at the time in the storyline when the unlimited set was released, with historical and geopolitical information, new races ("Llanowar elves"), new (prestige) classes ("Tim"... eer... "Prodigal sorcerer"), new monsters, new items, and a whole new magical system. WotC could get the magical system to use the actual cards to add the crack factor, but it should be optional.

Actually, they could make one or both of two games, one from the PoV of the planewalkers, and another from the PoV of the "normal" people. They would be very different.

I do both, but I lean towards spells over creatures, magic items, PrCs, and races. I think Order of Yawgmoth is going to be my first PrC. My best yet is proably Hymn to Tourach. When I have a 100 cards done, I'll post 'em!

Hmmm...

So far evrything named has been d20. With the OGL they at least stand a chance of seeing the light of day--albeit, perhaps a slim one in certain cases.

Now, the product I REALLY yearn for, yet know I will never see...

A revision of 1st Edition AD&D by Gary Gygax--complete with new modules, and an updated 'Gygaxian' Greyhawk!

Ah well...I can dream, can't I?

I agree with several suggestions that have already been made:

1) Game Designer's Handbook

2) D20 SciFi

3) a decent set of domain rules (including mass combat)
