dropping things while stunned

Since "you strap a shield to your forearm and grip it with your hand," do you drop it when you are stunned?

No, but neither can you rid yourself of it with a free action - it requires a move action to loose it before you can drop it.

The two weapon fighter can drop both swords, quickdraw his bow, and full attack. The sword and board fighter can drop his sword, take a move action to loose his shield, drop the shield, quickdraw his bow, and make a single attack.

So, if a two weapon fighter is stunned while holding his two swords what are the mechanics for retrieving his two swords from the ground?

Can he pick them both up at the same time or is it 2 move actions to pick up 2 items? Do they both draw attacks of opportunity?

DM's call. I would say: provided both hands are empty, and the fighter is picking up one in each hand, then it is one move action, with one attack of opportunity. Other DMs (and situations) will differ.

TWF lets you draw two weapons together, but picking up an item is unaffected... so two actions, and two AoOs.

Of course, it will require Combat Reflexes for someone to benefit from both, unless you pick up the two weapons in separate rounds.

So, don't forget the golfbag of magic swords to quickdraw new stuff if you happen to lose one or two of your looted items.
