Drow marriage (If there has ever been such a thing)

Currently running the Savage Tide Adventure Path. For those of you who know about it, there is a noblewoman in Sasserine who has a fascination with the drow. One of my PCs is actually a Half-Drow and she's all over him (Almost literally ;) )

I have been thinking about her summoning a drow cleric from somewhere down below to come to Sasserine and celebrate their marriage in true "Drow-style". Obviously, I wouldn't want this to be a "And so it was that you two got married" kind of interlude but rather an event that could be anything from funny and light-hearted to downright spooky and creepy but most of all, memorable.

Has there been anything written on this specific subject, maybe in the Complete book of the Drow? Would you have anything to suggest?

I would suggest that marriage among the drow is traditionally about the male swearing subservience to the female, probably culminating with something signifying ownership, such as a brand or having an unremovable shackle locked onto some part of the male's body.

Now, that's among actual drow. In this situation, you'd have to decide whether the priestess would view a half-drow as being above or below a non-drow (probably above), in which case, the ceremony would get modified so that the half-drow would take ownership of the woman.

Obviously, this is leaving light-hearted territory almost immediately, but that makes more sense to me than the contrary.

As far as ceremonial aspects, I might have the subordinate partner be bitten all over by poisonous spiders and then dominant partner deliver the antidote through a kiss, after a question-reply sequence by the priestess.

At first, when I saw this thread title, I thought it was going to be about some kind of Star Trek wedding (two people at a church getting married dressed as Drow).

I'd say that being a Chaotic society, there probably is not one ritual (IMC BTW). It's probably whatever the couple or their families agree upon and when anything is followed, it probably has to do with family rituals and traditions rather than societal ones. In this case, it will probably end up being what the Drow crazy woman thinks that a Drow wedding should be like, which is to say it will probably be over the top. Held underground in the dead of the night in near darkness surrounded by spiders in special clothing made from webs. Lots of bizarrre oaths followed by the bloodletting, dancing naked, and orgy. Not familiar with the woman in question, but if she's evil, there'll probably be lots of slaves an sacrifices also, perhaps feeding a slave to the spiders while asking Lolth to bless the wedding.
