Hello there. This is my first thread so i apologize for any mistakes made.
I started playing DND recently and I have a few questions.
Question 1:
When filling out the ability scores for a drow you add the bonus to actual score, correct? So 18 dex comes out as 20 dex.
Question 2:
For at-wills, how do calculate dexterity Vs. Whatever. It would be the same as the regular attack workspace on the Character sheet, but using my dex modifier instead of my str modifier, correct?
Question 3:
How do the magical items work? Do i just add the name to whatever im using, and all the properties the name gives? Example: Thieving Dagger +1. My friend gave me a weapon so we could start playing and he said if i throw it it comes back to me. Is this a special weapon or is it true for all magic daggers?
Question 4:
This is sort of unrelated to rules but i figured i would throw it in. I am allowed 3 magical items from lvl 5-1. What items should i grab for my rouge? It's a trickster using Sly Flourish and Piercing Strike.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer to this newbie.
