PF Elven Druid. Elves are proficient with longswords, Druids are not. I'm assuming that since it is not a restricted weapon, that an Elven Druid can use a longsword then. That seem right to everyone?

Correct. An elven druid can use a longsword, the proficiency picked up by being an elf. Druids do not have a weapon restriction, just a metal armor restriction.

Druids can already use scimitars already anyway. Bringing that up because a) it's also a metal sword and b) it's mechanically about as good as a longsword anyway.

Much more useful, IMO, is the bow proficiencies once you can afford one at level 2+.
