Druids and Polymorph other?

I was reading in Ploymorph Other that a "High Level Druid" could be transformed and still could change back to his original form. Is this to say that if my character was turned into a dragon that I would have what in essence a new Draconic wild shape with the bonus of no limitation of times a day I could change?

That sounds very powerful. But at the same time one dispell magic and I loose the power totaly until it is recast.
Well I need advice here... Have I misread the spell?
Have I missed anything?
What should I have for Breakfast?

These are questions I need answered.

No. It says you can take your natural form as a standard action. It doesn't say you can turn back. You'll note it's included in the section with other natural shapeshifters. They just decided to answer the question of which takes precedance.

It makes more sense if you remember Poly Other is SUPPOSED to be an offensive spell.

Yes, it never mentions turning back. I suppose you do have more control over it than most.

So..... I can be changed than at will can resume my own form and the spell is broken? Is that what you are saying? Or did you just controdict yourself?

Yes, you don't need a Dispel Magic for those time you absolutely, positively, DON'T want to be 20 foot tall.

It's the whole 'natural shapeshifters' are near immune to poly's. They've only got to spend a standard action and the spells gone.

Now the question is... Druids have the ability of "A Thousand Faces" that gives them the Alter Self spell at will. Could I be a dragon and use the ability to assume the shape of my true form with out actualy ending the spell?

Alter Self isn't that powerful. You could change the color of your scales, grow an extra pair of wings, grow gills, or grow an extra pair of arms, but you will still be basically a dragon.

Actually I thought you lost supernatural and spell-like abilities when you were polymorphed - I know for a fact you lose them when wildshaped...

I have the natural spell feat for my spells. as for the other abilities. You do not gain the spell like abilities of the form you are assuming but I did not read that you lost your own. (assuming you made your save and retained your mind.)
