Pathfinder 1E Duergar Caster Level

Lazlo Woodbine

First Post
Hello all. I'm a long time lurker of these boards, and have just joined so I can pick the brains of all you helpful people on here.

I'm running my first ever Pathfinder game in a setting I've created myself. I haven't done any DMing in many years, but it's going pretty well so far. I wondered if someone could help me out on a question about Duergar, however.

In the next section of the adventure that I'm creating the PCs are going to run in to some Duergar, and I'm not quite sure how the Caster Level for their spell like abilities work. In the Bestiary it says "Duergar can cast enlarge person and invisibility each once per day, using their character level as their caster level." That seems simple enough, but under 'Offense' it also says "Spell-Like Abilities (CL 3rd)". Does that mean that Duergar only get their spell like abilities at third level? Or does it mean that at levels 1 and 2, their caster level is bumped up to 3? I'm a bit confused.

Thanks for any help.

Looks like a mistake in the transition from 3.5. In 3.5 Duergar spell-like abilities have a minimum CL of 3, but they are also used at twice the character's level. Either they forgot to include the minimum Cl or they should have corrected the sample warrior stat block.
