Sorry, obviously, I was unclear. What I mean is that a Build-Your-Own-Module article would be more readily costomizable to a particular group of PCs (melee-oriented vs. investigative vs. spellcasting dependant vs. riddle-solvers) or a particular group of players (those who only build one of the above groups or who have run through the adventure before and loved it.)Nightfall said:OR...
You could just mandate they MAKE characters of that level to run higher level games.
I'm just offering that as idear.
As for running a published adventure for another party level, that's no problem. Normally, I would just do as you suggest and tell the players what level party to build, but for Dungeon magazine adventures, of course, there is the "scaling the adventure" sidebar.
I think that the ease of scaling for different levels is a brilliant innovation for Dungeon. What I want to see is greater ease of customization for things besides level.
