Nice, a revised arcanaloth finally...now I can put one to good use in my games. Heh heh.

Can't wait for Dungeon #144 and Dragon #345...still cleaning up the drool thinking about them.

The ultraloth in MM3 is fine, it's just underpowered. Advancing it works fine. Not so with the arcanaloth. It's base stats and powers don't scale properly by adding Hit Dice, and it was 3.0 as well (unlike the ultraloth). So the arcanaloth in in the latest Dungeon is indeed a fully revised creature. It's also one with several class levels, so I'm afraid you'll have to do some reverse engineering to refine it back down to its base stats. For now. Chances are near 100% that I'll be able to put the updated arcanaloth stat block sans class levels in an upcoming issue.

Think about adding in a few more updated yugoloths while you're at it...particularly dhergaloths, gacholoths, guardian yugoloths, and hydroloths...ok, maybe dhergaloths if things are too tight...heh heh. ;)

Bump, still wondering what is going to appear in 145, ;)

While we wait for the official magazine preview, here is the previews data they sent out a few months ago:

The Savage Tide Adventure Path surges forward in “City of Broken Idols,” a foray into the center of the infamous Isle of Dread. “Vile Addiction,” the first installment of the new “Servants of Sahan” three-part campaign arc, leads the PCs into the vices of the Far Realm. A Backdrop for Exag: City of Clay supports the new series. “The Distraction” puts the PCs behind the enemy lines of a gnoll army. All this, plus Dungeoncraft, Downer, and Mt. Zogon!

Tak,

I asked good ole Al for a little hint and while the preview is semi-accurate, they changed the gnolls to goblins.

Are stats for the Kopru presented? Some fleshing out? I know they are in MM2, but has there ever been a 3.5 update/treatment of these underused creatures?

I believe Koprus were statted for v.3.5 in the Shackled City AP. There is also one in Tides of Dread in Dungeon #143, but it also has Druid levels so it would require some reverse engineering to get back to the base monster.

There should be more appearing in future installments of the Savage Tide Adventure Path.

Edit: Follow this link to the "Flood Season" web enhancement and I think you'll find stats for a v.3.5 kopru in the .pdf. That was what I used to build Skephilipika the Kopru druid in Tides.... Beware, though, there are a couple of bugs in it. Nothing major, but noticeable once you start gutting it.
