It's that our post offices are staffed primarily by crack-addled chimps. The few decent workers--and they do exist, I've met a few--are hard pressed to keep the poo-flinging primates from just eating the mail as it comes in, let alone getting it delivered with any alacrity or accuracy.

When I lived in Manhattan, New York City, I tried to convince the postal worker who was "helping" me that Oregon was one of the fifty states of the union. I failed. He insisted that it was in Canada...despite the giant map on the wall twenty feet behind him.

Eventually I got his supervisor involved, and she slapped the guy on the back of his head with an added "Idiot!" comment.

\I did work in the mail room in college and met a few postal workers who were very nice and worked very hard.

Got my copy today... I am getting both magazines faster in Italy than when I was in Atlanta...

just rub it in.

yeah the avg delivery here is like 4 weeks since nov 03.
i've been tracking it.

Me too. I bought a subscription in February, this should be my first issue ... I would be sad if my subscription period started with a seriously late issue. :\ Of course, I live in Texas, too ...
