On what basis do you say that? If an assumption suggested by the context is true, why assume that ignoring the context and Turing a true statement into a lie is a better reading? One always have to make assumptions when interpretatomg a text created by another mind, that's the nature of reading.I'm saying that it's better not to assume.
So you admit that it is true if you grant the premise. Gold enough, thanks, I'll leave it to others if they think the clear premise is obvious to them. Since you haven't made any attempt to provide an example showing that there is a similar text previously...Which requires your premise to hold. Since it doesn't, this statement is moot.
