Got this from SciFi Wire. Well, we all knew it was coming....

Zinc Entertainment, a division of Joel Silver's Silver Pictures, will produce Dungeons & Dragons: The Sequel for an early 2004 release, Variety reported. Zinc will produce with Marching Band Productions and Sweetpea Entertainment.

Hurrah! I, for one, am pleased. I'd love to see Courtney Solomon get another shot at this particular can. I hope he gets in on it, though I suspect he won't be able to.

Come on, people, it's a Dungeons and Dragons movie! What do you want, Lord of the Rings? Give me beholders, dwarves, goofy plots, total strangers hooking up for no discernable reason and dumb traps nobody would ever set anywhere. B-movie goodness is what these films should be all about.

I'm actually looking forward to this.

They'd have to try pretty hard to make it worse than the first movie, and I think they'l do a much better job with it.
