I'm suprised they were waiting till 2007 to release it.

I had figured they'd have used the the green goblin again with Harry, given how 2 is setup at the end, but perhaps they didn't want to rehash it that quickly (or perhaps he'll be a minor roll in this one, building up to 4).

Tropher and Toby in the same movie, that might be slightly confusing, they look a lot alike.

Yeah, with two villains and Dunst's quote at the end about "packing a lot in there", it could be a little confusing and/or messy. Although I have faith in Raimi. He is directing the third one, right?

Not necessarily. Ultimate Spiderman had a different take on the symbiote and Venom than in the MU, and they could go with something like that.

Could be Spidey 3 & 4 are being filmed together, was there not a interview with Rami, where he said he wanted to do that with 1 & 2 but other concerns and contracts prevented it?

He CAN'T carry a movie on his own.

The question is how big a role Harry will have as a bad guy. But if they're running with Venom as the main bad guy, and Harry as a background player, then I don't see a problem.
