Duom?

Is it a huge no-no to ask for weapon stats on the board? I'm not asking for the details of a prestige class or anything big. I just want to know what a Duom is and what it's stats/abilities are. I'm assuming it's an Exotic Weapon, but of that I'm not even sure. Someone suggested it to me, but they were fuzzy on the details. I won't have access to my copy of S&F until next session as our DM keeps all our books at his place.

Thanks if you can help!

Thanks anyway if you can't. :)

From memory, it's an exotic weapon with 5' and 10' reach. It's in S&F.

Edit: A quick search revealed the following: Large 20gp 1d8 X3 8 lb. Piercing

I can't vouch for its accuracy, but it look OK.

Thanks Greathouse. You've been a big help to me the last couple of days!

I tried to search and it said the feature was disabled. :/

I recall the picture having a couple of barbs on it like a harpoons hooks or something. It led me to believe there was a trip or disarm modifier associated with it, but I'm not sure.

I was curious how it stacked up against the spiked chain. Just the fact that it has the same reach modifiers is enough for me. I'm not crazy about the image of the chains and the mess of carrying them around.

If it has some trip or disarm mods that would just be gravy.

I'm sure however that my chances of coming across magical Spiked Chains was about 1 in a million. I have no doubt the Duom would be even worse considering how obscure it is.

Ok. On page 9 of a google search, I found Stormkeep. Neat site.

Anyway, they have a listing of some weapons for D&D

Duom

Dmg 1-8, X3 Crit, 8 lbs, 20 gp

Longspear with a standard spearhead and 2 long blades curving backward along the shaft, which can be used to attack adjacent foes, as well as possessing the longspears natural reach. Apply a +2 bonus ot the first attack made vs. an adjacent opponent.

Sounds nice. No trip or disarm bonus, but the sneaky nature of it's attacks is an added bonus for your first strike.

The picture's a little odd. It might be fun to create a mook up weapon and try to use it. Might grant a greater understand ing on how it's supposed to work. I know realism and rpg's sometimes don't mix, but some of the weapons might actually function as they are supposed to. Anyone know if this is based of a real thing?
